In 1979, the Dutch politician Ad Lansink introduced a motion for a better standard in waste management. His idea was later on referred to as ‘the hierarchy of waste’, because it prioritizes waste processing on what’s most favourable for the evironment. Just recently the BE management team was invited to join the economic mission of the Dutch government together with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima to the Duchy of Luxemburg for example.
